Date night in Colorado Springs. We went to Jorge's in Old Colorado City--seriously probably the worst "Mexican" food I have ever, EVER had, not to mention the entirely unaccommodating waiter. (my cheese enchilada was essentially a quesadilla...no beans, no veggies, no enchilada sauce...and when I asked for sour cream instead of green chili, the waiter charged me two dollars!). At places that don't have the best veggie options, I will never, ever, underappreciate or undervalue the accommodation or kindness of a good waiter or waitress. Oh well, I guess he missed that opportunity.
But! On the bright side, we made friends with the incredible bartender who made me this off-the-menu drink, The Black Orchid. And I would seriously go back just for this margarita. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what was in it, but she made sure Eli had my car keys before I ordered. And it was delicious. Thank you!
